About The Sherpa Adventures
Sherpa Adventure grew from a childhood shaped by mountains, bicycles, and our father’s mountaineering stories. His photo albums from the Himachal peaks sparked a love for exploration in both my brother and me. After school, we’d race our bicycles, imagining the high passes we’d someday ride for real.
Adventure was a daily thing at home. Our father also raced motorbikes, inspiring my brother to compete in a mountain biking event in 2016, where he placed third. That pushed both of us deeper into cycling, and I soon began winning local races of my own.
In 2022, I started guiding motorbike tours in Spiti. Those early expeditions made me realize guiding wasn’t just fun; it felt right. Over the next two years, I freelanced as a motorbike and bicycle tour guide and later worked as a technician supporting long-distance cycling trips.
By 2025, it felt natural to shape all these experiences into Sherpa Adventure, a space born from our family’s passion for trekking, cycling, and motorbiking. It reflects the lessons the mountains taught us and the joy of helping others explore them.

Ashish Sherpa– Founder
Ashish is a seasoned tour guide, tour leader, and technical expert with years of experience leading motorbike and bicycle expeditions across the Himalayas. A competitive mountain bike racer since 2016, he holds multiple national titles and has proven himself in XC races, endurance events, and high-altitude competitions.
He has guided numerous groups through the demanding terrains of Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh, known for his sharp route knowledge, calm decision-making, and ability to handle technical challenges on the go. Ashish also trains young mountain biking athletes and actively competes in motorbike autocross events, bringing a rare blend of athletic skill and mechanical expertise to every journey.
His practical knowledge, racing background, and deep connection with the mountains shape the heart of Sherpa Adventure, ensuring every expedition is safe, memorable, and rooted in true Himalayan spirit.

Akash Sherpa– Co Founder
Akash is a highly accomplished mountain bike racer and expedition guide with deep experience across the Himalayan region. Since 2016, he has participated in more than 50 national and international races, consistently performing at a top level in XC, endurance, and high-altitude events. His racing career reflects discipline, skill, and a strong competitive spirit.
Alongside racing, Akash has guided numerous motorbike and bicycle tours throughout Himachal Pradesh and Ladakh. His sharp trail knowledge, technical expertise, and calm handling of challenging terrain make him a trusted leader on demanding routes. He is also an expert technician for both bicycles and motorbikes, ensuring every expedition runs smoothly and safely.
With years of hands-on guiding, racing, and mechanical experience, Akash brings precision, passion, and a deep love for the mountains to Sherpa Adventure. His presence elevates every journey with reliability, expertise, and the true spirit of Himalayan exploration.

Sondorche Sherpa – The Backbone
Sondorche Sherpa is the guiding force and inspiration behind Sherpa Adventure. With over 30 years of experience in the Himalayas, he is a respected motorbike racer, seasoned mountaineer, and one of the region’s most trusted technicians for both motorbikes and bicycles. His career includes climbing numerous peaks in Himachal Pradesh, often leading international clients through challenging terrain long before adventure tourism became mainstream.
Known for his unmatched route knowledge and calm leadership, Sondorche has guided countless treks and expeditions across the mountains. His racing background and mechanical mastery led him to establish the well-known Dorcha Mod Garage in Shimla, a go-to hub for bikers and cyclists since 1998.
His lifetime of experience, discipline, and deep connection with the Himalayan landscape form the foundation on which Sherpa Adventure stands today. Every expedition carries the wisdom, skill, and mountain spirit he has spent decades perfecting.
